Review: Se7en

Se7en (1995)
Director David Fincher
David Fincher is one of the biggest and best directors around and Se7en was his first feature film other then the disasterous Alien³ and its certainly a case of starting as you mean to go on. The film is a master peice of suspence even though i unfortunatly knew the ending after reading an article of shocking film endings. Enough said. Se7en sees the start of Finchers work with leading man Brad Pitt (Fight Club, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) as well as having two superb performances from two of the best actors around Morgan Freeman (The Shawshank Redemption, The Dark Knight) and Kevin Spacey (American Beauty, Horrible Bosses). The film keeps you enthalled in the storyline and mystery plot although Gwenyth Paltrow (Iron Man, Glee) could have had some more screentime. The fact the film is so thrilling was made worse for me watching on the LOVEfilm website which kept freezing, if your going to watch watch propery! Overall a superb start to the carear of Fincher infact i think this may be my favorite of his films i've seen! (yes including the overrated Fight Club)
8 out of 10
